I've had to administer a MySQL server before, but beyond that my geek nature insists on knowing; What happened exactly? File corruption? Partition filled up? Someone botch the install of an entension?

No apology needed Howland, bad things happen all the time, all we can do is fix them.

Does however anyone else have the issue all of a sudden that the forums will no longer remember a login even when you check the box that should tell it to do so? I didn't change any of my settings and on other boards it works just fine..

Actually, it did that to me before the forums went down. Now it seems to have stopped.

It happened to me. I cleared my cookies, then relogged in.
