[a letter adressed to ”Cog Ippensher” is delivered to the Seeker enclave]
The letter reads as follows:
Good friend Cog Ippensher,I write to you this day as I am in need of your advise as a Gondsman. As you are well aware, I am a Paladin in the service of Torm. As such, I find the lack of a proper place from which to direct my prayers to be demoralizing at best. This is why I wish to establish a shrine dedicated to Torm the True within the chapterhouse of the Society of the Ordered Mind – a shrine that would be open not only to the members of the society, but to all brethren in faith.
Assuming my proposal is approved of (if not, I shall by the grace of Torm find another suitable location for it), I will require the services of both a stonemason as well as a blacksmith. They would both be paid handsomely to craft an altar as well as religious symbols holy to Torm. All items should, naturally, be of such quality that they meet the requirements of a proper shrine. The shrine itself would be set up within a small chamber and be rather humble in nature, but I am certain that the Loyal Fury shall look favorably upon it nevertheless. Humility is a virtue, is it not?
Having grown up in the family castle surrounded by tapestries, shields, altars, talismen and various other religious objects adorned with the holy symbols of my faith I am confident in my ability to recall the images down to the smallest detail, and would also be able to have these details properly committed to paper with the help of a decent scribesman.
As you are both a Gondsman as well as a highly competent craftsman I would greatly appreciate any advise that you might give me regarding this. Who might be capable of the finesse this kind of work requires? While there are a few duergar blacksmiths around I doubt they would be willing to take such a commission, and I haven’t the faintest of clues as to how I might get in touch with a stonemason. I hear that things have been set in motion to have a shrine dedicated to the Crying God constructed in lower Sanctuary - do you perhaps know which contractors have been hired to perform this task?
I’d be grateful for any aid that you might send my way.
Sincerely, Ambrose Crownguard Initiate of the Society of the Ordered Mind
