Im new to this server, and i have a question regarding druidic equipment. It states in the in the class notes that druids are not to use metal shields... how do i know which ones are made of metal? Some of the pictures appear to be mostly wood, with some metal? Is that druid kosher so to speak? Are there druid specific shields i havent found lablled 'wooden'?
wooden gear
I'd prefer to go by the new pnp logic, since druids descriptions are iffy. (They can only use spears but no wooden spears exist in nwn? Wtf? And scimitars, but no longswords?)
If someone wants to add it here, i'd be happy. My own (probably wrong) idea is that druids shouldn't wear plate or chain or use weapons with a large amount of metal. (Greatswords, halberds and the like)
It's not really an issue with wooden so much as there are certain items their oaths bound them to not use.
There are ironwood shields available in game. However, there is no issue with using regular wooden/small shields available from a vendor.
The difference between D&D v3 and v3.5 is here.
In v3, Druids are not allowed to wear metal.
In the updated v3.5, it is stated that Druids are allowed to use metal, if they do not overdo it.
It is just a matter of which EFU applies; v3 or v3.5- Or maybe even a combination of both.
find a druid in game, like for example, me, and we will show you the delightful location of almost everything you could want to arm yourself and make up for woodland stride bonuses we dont get in the underdark.
