Letter to Councilor Tyrell

Marponeth 28, 151 Councilor Tyrell Townhall Regard Seekers

Todark after a number of very disturbing reports; which were forwarded to yourself and the Mayor I discovered that the Seeker Ruby Cannonball was aware of Emanuel Lucas' where abouts and refusing to divulge them. This information became too much and in light of the Seeker's refusal to cooperate with investigations I finally entered their compound and demanded access to the files on several open investigations the Seekers were refusing to grant.

Ivlysar was extremely cooperative. We both were mutually worried about the recent precedent that the Seekers or the Watch or the Spellguard may force their way into the file rooms and barracks of any of the other organizations. We mutually agreed to allow me access to the Seeker files that may have held information on several ongoing criminal cases in exchange for the promise that in future situations the Seekers or the Watch will agree to alert the Council when such access is necessary in writing and await gaining access until the request is confirmed by three Councilors.

Therefore, I am formally dismissing my request for a formal Council investigation in their recent activities. However, I remain firmly convinced-even more so now-that the Seekers are not an asset to Sanctuary's defense. The goals of the Seekers should be redrawn to focus them solely on looking for the surface; and any monies that once went to them for scouting or defense or intelligence gathering operations should be redirected to the Watch. Simply put, they are not helping the Watch or the Spellguard in any of these operations and we can put funds dedicated to these projects to better use while they can continue to look for the surface routes with the finances left to them.
