This really seems obvious to me, but it bears repeating.

If you figure out something with a character, your next character does not know this until the character actually figures it out IC on their own.

If you as a player discover some secret/subtle thing about the server, do not share that with other players OOC'ly.

Apparently some players who should really know better feel that it's appropriate to spoil everyone's fun by spreading secrets around to other players in an OOC way. This is unfortunate, and it should be considered a potentially bannable offense.
