[letter delivered to the Spellguard]

Agents of the Spellguard,

I am Mordabent Kierhaven, Acolyte of the Eternal Order and priest in service to Kelemvor. My brethren and I have only recently arrived in Sanctuary, and while there have been no shortage of allies in our most holy crusade against the undead, we do at the moment find ourselves lacking proper intelligence on the wretched abominations threatening Sanctuary.

This very day, as I was approaching the town hall, I walked in on an occurrence most grim. A flaming cross had appeared on the ground, and from it no less than three floating, undead skulls materialized. Thankfully these were quickly disposed of before they could do any true harm. Shortly thereafter I heard rumors of a lich being responsible. I inquired further, and was told that the Spellguard would be the ones most likely to have extensive information on the subject.

This is why I write to you; to ask that you provide us, righteous hunters of the undead, with the information needed to locate these unholy beings and grant them eternal rest in the name of Kelemvor. I understand that the information gathered in your archives may be highly confidential, but our cause is just, and we can identify ourselves as members of the Eternal Order should we have the honor of meeting one of your agents in person.

Information leading to the destruction of the aforementioned lich, should such a creature indeed be responsible for the attack, would not only be highly appreciated but vital to our cause and the security of Sanctuary. We may, for the time being, be reached at the Last Stand.

May Kelemvor guide your spirits to a peaceful afterlife.

With respect, Acolyte Kierhaven, The Knights of the Eternal Order

Acolyte Kierhaven,

I'm very pleased to receive your inquiry, and see no reason not to share what limited information we possess. Please stop by the Tower of the Spellguard, or find me about town.
