Greetings Zebulon,
Please forgive me if I am rehashing anything you remember from earlier. By the report I was given, the Terranatir is a flawless blue crystal ball, one of a set of nine in existence on this plane. It is known to possess numerous wondrous properties, such as allowing its user to foresee some of the future, scrying, and other rumored uses I will not get into here. It was taken--stolen presumably--from a noble house in Traensyr, transported in a ship by smugglers. The ship sunk under unknown duress, and the artifact was lost. The location is none other than the bottom of the Canals, where there is a drow shipwreck. Searching the ship and the area led to no clues and my own divinations have not revealed anything of use. I surmise the brisk waters of the Canal swept the Terranatir deeper into the Canal waters, perhaps into the hydraulic shafts, which serve to circulate cold water where it is needed in the heart of the Dunwarren machine. Can you keep an eye out for objects that allow one to breathe underwater for minutes at a time, and what sum of money, or objects may convince you to accompany me in search of this relic, which may entail we venture deep into the machine? Name your price for it will be extremely dangerous and I will not ask one to help for no incentive. I sense we are on the verge of something big, though I know not what is exactly.

Cador,
Thank you for writing to me. I have not forgotten what you said. I am quite interested in this endeavor.
I do not want this object to fall in the wrong hands, especially this close to Sanctuary. It is of utmost importance to protect Sanctuary. The House of Archibald are concerned for the citizens that such a powerful artifact may be lying around, or even worse found its way into some vile beast's hands.
Coin will be thought about as the project develops, as I do not know the whole of it. How many people would be needed? How much water-breathing objects, or spells, are to be found, as I have not heard of such things before? There are many questions that need to be answered, and I would like to find the answers. As a plan develops, payment must then be considered.
We should discuss this further within two darks at the Estate. I will make myself available. The Archibald family will be pleased to be able to provide further security to the citizens of Sanctuary.

Look for water lung root, which I believe is a thin, fibrous weed that one places over the mouth to breathe. And bubbleberries, a golden-ish berry, ingested. They are commonly traded at kuo-toa settlements, but many of them end up in circulation among adventurers. As these materials are potentially expensive, I would like to keep the number of people down to those who are essential or can cover the indubitably steep expenses. I would be delighted to meet and talk further at your Estate.

Cador,
I am preparing a group for this venture.
We will visit a kuo toa settlement soon to gather supplies.
I would like to meet with you to discuss this further and learn of any known hazards we may face.
I also would like to know whether you intend to bring others?
Please stop by the Estate. You may discuss this with Ward Card and Ward Xavier if I am not present.

Sorry for the late reply, I have been very busy of late and continue to be preoccupied in other urgent matters. A couple individuals who were to aid in finding this artifact have disappeared in, I believe, unrelated circumstances. If you intend to use the information I have given you and bring a group without me, I have no recourse at this juncture but to allow you to do so with my blessing.
A belated good luck and good bye,
Cador
