I took the lad along, as requested, and we engaged in a few simple tasks together. He has proven reasonably skilled, and was willing to listen and follow commands in battle. He also displayed basic leadership ability, though this was only tested in passing.

Overall, a good prospect, though I have one minor concern. He seems to have a marked aversion for death and the dead. While this is understandable, it could compromise his performance on a battlefield.

I factored my fee into the distribution of spoils.
