Marponeth 24, 151 Council Townhall Regard Petition for Emergency Elections

I've obtained a petition for an emergency set of elections. I have decided not to sign it, but I do suggest the Council consider strongly the merit of some legislation to address the deaths of Councilors.

New elections hardly seem necessary, they are expensive and use many resources. Far preferable would be for the Council to simply lower the number required for a majority from 5/9s of the Council to 51% of the Council's current living representatives. Since there are currently 6 Councilors, the majority should be reduced to four.

It is imperative the Council reacts quickly to many measures. The Watch has been without a Sheriff for weeks, our ability to make peace with the Shadow Tribe and remove it from Sanctuary is taking far too long for the Council to approve, and many other measures likely waste away at Townhall because of the current rules on majority.

Something needs to change. The Council is already far too slow at addressing major security needs-from a new Sheriff to handling the Shadow Tribe. They could be peacefully gone in a few days, but the delay in Townhall blocks this.
