Amywieng Evrilo

The following letter is written in a neat, flowing Espruar script, and left at the Seeker Hall, addressed to one "Amywieng."

Amywieng,

I write this missive to call to attention a recent encounter in which you may find interest. A human assailant, as yet unidentified, attacked the Upper Gate Watch sentries with a variety of poisoned projectile weapons, slaying one and wounding another. He was slain in a pursuit given by a number of adventurers, at which point they elected to follow his trail into the abandoned Grunstubhle Mines near the Upper Gate.

Upon arriving within the mines, a portal structure was identified within the ruins of the Duergar foundry. It sent multiple waves of flame-crested skulls against us, before we entered the portal. Upon transport, we found ourselves within a ruined cave under the lizardfolk island of Sslal'teesh. We fought a number of the flame-crested skulls again, until they were defeated.

At this point, a skeletal individual appeared, weaving several spells of great power around itself. A Spellguard Agent and Associate, a dwarven cleric of Berronar Truesilver, a female arcanist, and an orc-blooded warrioress entered into conversation with it. During this conversation, the skeletal figure identified itself as one Xanderixes of House Marduken, the last of a destroyed Traensyr noble house. The creature also hinted that it had been imprisoned within the nearby caves, and only recently freed by a tribe of orogs that lives in close proximity to the caves.

After a lengthy dialogue in which the Sanctuary representatives repeatedly offered relatively interesting information about the city, the creature stated that it wished to use Sanctuary as an army to crush Traensyr. In return, it offered to give Sanctuary's citizens some of the secrets of ancient Dunwarren, including a feeding system designed to sustain thousands, and a vast library of arcane and other knowledge. The Spellguard Agent agreed to represent the creature's case to the Sanctuary Town Council.

The creature then indicated it would be leaving its cave and moving to a lair within the Dunwarren ruins. A fracas initiated by Seeker Lucas and several dwarves erupted shortly thereafter, with the creature ultimately departing.

It is to be noted that this creature likely possesses an incredible amount of arcane knowledge and prowess, and should not be taken lightly. The creatured stated that it studied for several centuries to obtain its level of power. Conflict should be avoided with every effort, until a better grasp of its capabilities and intentions is held.

Should the Seekers or another inform you of this information before you retrieve this missive, then I apologize for the redundancy of the information.

With regards,

Earas
