Letter to Spellguard

Marponeth 25, 151 Spellguard Spellguard Tower Regard Lucian

I have a man named Lucian in my cells on capital charges and no record of what he did or why he is sitting here after several days. I want an explanation as quickly as possible or I will need to free the prisoner.

Lucian was on trial for resisting arrest through force, the original charge being for Endangering Sanctuary via Leprosy.

He was found guilty of Resisting Arrest, and fined 100 coins and sentenced to time served. In addition, it was ruled that at all times he would have to keep a cloth, or mask covering his mouth to prevent spread of the disease. He was let free.

The presiding judge was Councilor Tyrell, and the prosecution was Agent Manth.

Logs requested, if available.

This apparently was taken care of by the arresting agent finally. I am extremely unhappy with this situation Agents.

Firstly, this diseased man was most likely not a threat to Sanctuary at all. Provided he wore a mask and kept himself contained.

Secondly, if he was a threat to Sanctuary and the health of our citizens then why in the nine flaming hells of Baator did your Agent put him in a confined area with my guards? Manth demonstrated a complete lack of regard for the safety of the Watchmen and women who maintain the integrity of cell security by exposing them to a deadly disease--assuming he was correct and the man had been dangerous.

Through it all, Manth never mentioned to anyone in the Watch that a potential plague spont was sitting calmly in the back of one of our cells. I am hoping you can do something about this. Manth was an embarrassment to your order when he was merely an Associate planning to build a giant tuning fork to drive monsters out of Sanctuary.

Cleary infuriated, Barkely gives the letter to Ferrington and angrily tells him to deal with this. After calming down, and dabbing away several beads of sweat from his balding head, he pens a quick response...

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we'll see to it that this is investigated immedietly.

-Order of the Spellguard.

Ferrington salutes to Barkely and goes off to give Manth some intensive training, Spellguard style.
