If you ask for a reward item, you don't get one.

I think you're a liar! I swear I've seen this quest done correctly, with a reward. Could anyone confirm?

And no, I've not done any testing.

I'm reporting for a guy in game that said, "I've done this quest four times and each time I ask for something, he gives me nothing!"

Ummm I'll take the blame. I said that its not giving a reward. When I choose gold I think I get it but when I choose something random, I haven't got an item. Once a few weeks ago I did but since then the last 5 times I've done it I havent gotten anything. I also waited before choosing dialog options in case of lag and such. Sorry if I'm wrong but it didnt work for me last 5 times I tried to get an item.

Okay, this is definately still a problem. I still got nothing when I asked for something random and its the 7th attempt...

Of course, it's because the NPC got moved into the town hall, and his little chest of random loot to give out didn't get moved with him. I'll fix it when I get a chance.
