[DM] [letter to Baron Maxwell von Matterheim]

Grand Baron-Councillor Maxwell von Matterheim

I write to you in awe of the status which you have gained. You are truly the epitome of the city. Formalities aside, I write to you to inform you of my crusade against the Sslal'teesh. As a hero, you must have been in my position. I would ask you to come with me to prove your dedication to the city. To prove, yet again, that you are a hero. If you believe you cannot wield the sword and believe your position of councillor can do you more good, I endorse your decision. If that is your decision, I would like to be knighted by yourself as a champion of this city's cause. I seek to show the city that idleness is not the city's solution. Freedom, independance, and your way of life are not mere actions which can be measured and written down, they are perspectives. They must be protected as such.

As your champion, I shall show the city your wisdom in supporting the defence of the city even though you are too aged to fight on the front lines yourself. Any support which you can grant will be a boon not only to the city, but to the good gnomish, and svirfneblin gods themselves, and they shall smile upon you even more brightly than they do right now.

Gelleran Cisopine the First Warrior of the Cloak

Gelleran,

Your letter has stirred my heart. If you kill the ruling shaman of Sslal'teesh, I will gladly bestow the honor of Knighthood upon you. I fully support your crusade against those insufferable lizards and will lend the aid of my blade, if I am not otherwise indisposed at the time with my daily nap or bath.

Councilor Baron Maxwell von Matterheim
