Hmmm, I was thinking on the natural rights which lead me to think of the natural law. What if when you go to hunt Rothes you not only can find sick rothe, fat rothe, thin rothe, angry rothe, etc. but what if NPC predators killed them they took some meat thereby decreasing the value. I mean a stone lizard won't go around killing out of pleasure, it's hungry. Or if you kill one you have ICly fifteen minutes before the corpse begins to attract some form of scavenging creature (aren't there like deep crows or something, why not deep vultures  )...
I relize this might be a bit difficult and may cause lag, but I suspect next to the Mage Eaters this should be a peice of cake

Sorry for the double post but a sort of addition to this. Meat, I mean I do believe that there is raw meat you can purchase and then consume. There should be like a one in tweleve chance of that having some disease (like one that decreases intellect, constitution, strength, saving throws, etc.)...
Any comments at all for this pseudo-realism effects to EFU?

The problem with dead Rothe attracting preditors is that PC's aren't the only things killing them.
Every time I walk in the underdark invisable I pass groups of animals fighting each other. It may cause alot of lag when these "wandering monsters" turn up only to fight other monsters.
Other than potienial lag issues, the idea sounds good to me.
