Do you or have you been in the Watch?

What questions did you have about how things worked, what to do, how to use the Watch forum? Where to post what and why?

I'd like to know the general questions OOC mostly that don't always get explained when you wind up joining the Watch. Just to make it easier for the influx of new players into that faction.

Should they, the questions, be posted here? Or are you looking for Question and ansewers, as in a FAQ.

Both I suppose.

Things I'm realizing:

How to use shackles?

Lots of people don't know that their is a bug with them involving other players logging off while wearing them.

How to file reports? What goes where, how and why?

How to use the forum better? How do you anchor links to other posts inside a main post?

Things like that, some IC and some OOC; but I'm mostly thinking the OOC things that could be explained to help players getting started.

As a watchman I found I was able to lead by the example of my fellow watchman. I -think- but I don't completely recall there is some information on the watch forum that covers most things. Using shackles was pretty self explanatory for me.

Anything that was'nt detailed on the forums was sort of by design so you can actually start out a "rookie" and work your way up learning from mistakes and such.

I wish I could help more but I really can't remember much more than that oro.

That is incredibly useful for any faction/forum where you have to collate several posts into a single thread.

I had considered doing what you're doing, Oro, when I was in the Watch. I figured it was cooler to figure things out on my own though. More interesting that way at least. Cail was outspokenly against babying the new recruits.

I guess a little bit of OOC instruction would be handy though. If you have any questions you're not sure you know the answer to, I very well might. But as far as your initial request for help, I can't really remember anything I was terribly confused about, except maybe Councillor protocols. (That is, how to acquire a councillor).
