As you may or may not know, a night back, there was a lizardfolk encounter in which they made their intentions to attack Sanctuary clear. Previously to this attack I came across one of their trackers on the low road, which left me very curious. I think that all have considered an attack on the city to flow from the blue mushroom through the mines and to the upper gate, however, this new contact may put that secnario as unlikely.

I've doubled my scouting in the area and will continue to keep you posted. I would also advise leaving a consistence presence on the gate road, just before the passage into the east underdark. From here, any attack from the east can be seen and runners dispatched to both the lower and upper gates. There is a very defensable position here, where archers can be placed on a ridge and warriors must funnel through a narrow pass.

If men are not put on the lower gate and it is attacked many will suffer. I know you are streched thin, and the willingness of lower citizens to have watchmen at their gate is not ideal, but I ask you to find a solution with me. From what I can tell of Charles Bresley, he was a good man who believed in keeping all of the people of Sanctaury safe while his brother found the way. Hold the tradition.

The lizardfolk will most likely attack by swimming up the canal to attack the city from within the central parts of Lower. That is the least defensible route into Sanctuary.

The lizardfolk have been plotting an attack on Sanctuary since shortly before the Rotting Death plague struck us. I am pleased that the Seekers are beginning to notice. If you find any information, please send it to the Watch.

It is pleasant to see a Seeker who is willing to send us information even if it is a few months out of date. I sent the Seekers a report with these details over a month ago; the information came from a scouting division we've come to rely on in the absence of useful intelligence from the Seekers.

Cut the arrogant crap, either work with me or don't. Everything is not about your little political agendas.

Currently, I would put an invasion through the Dark Canal as unlikely considering the great many hostile fey that reside in the area. While it is not likely, I'll admit it is still possible and will be sure to check on the region consistently. Should they attack through that rout, I'd say it would be about the best scenario for Sanctuary as long as the lower gate can be rebuilt and manned post haste. With any luck, the fey would be eliminated once and for all and the lizards weakened before they came to the more defensible of the two gates (Canal Gate has both high ground and far sights). Therefore I'll stress again the importance of getting that gate to full strength.

They fey are hostile to us Seeker. Not to the lizardfolk. They want Sanctuary cleansed of non-fey life. The lizardfolk also made a deal with Clan Grunstuhble. They will attack both gates likely now, and perhaps even come through the ruins.
