Elient 28, 151 ... ... Regard Scouting for the Watch

The Watch is currently endeavoring to build a division of scouts and information gatherers to either supplement or if necessary replace the efforts of the Seekers during a period of rising liklihood of war against Slaal'teesh.

In an effort to prove the effectiveness of such a division, I want those of you most likely to be incorporated into a Watch scout corp to gather as much information as possible on a number of subjects.

1) Rising numbers of slimes and oozes not only in the Dunwarren sewers but other regions around Lower Sanctuary including the Lower Gates. What is causing the increase, beyond the obvious statement that drow cultits are known to be operating in the sewers. What do they want, why are they more active, what are their numbers and goals?

2) Slaal'teesh's lizardfolk are stalking the nearby shores of the Dark Lake and girding for war. They worship Moander and are on a holy crusade we believe looking for sacrifices to their diety. How are they reaching our shores? Do they possess the necessary naval power to enter Sanctuary through the canals or must they march here-if they do march which entry to Sanctuary are they most likely to encounter first? What are their numbers and how well supplied are they?

3) Dark Canal and fey, the unseelie control the Dark Canal. What exactly are these creatures, what are their goals, what if any interest might they have in child slaves. Are they responsible for shutting down the Dark Canal, if so what may convince them to reopen it to trade or help guard it against our enemies?

4) What other information can you uncover of use to Sanctuary's security?

Your individual efforts in this regard will have a direct impact on convincing the Council of the necessity of granting the Watch funding for its own scouting division. If you have questions, or know the names of skilled scouts who can help bring this information communicate such with me directly.
