*letter to the Watch House*

Month of Eliant 27/151

Members of the Watch,

A good thing has occurred, something I thought you would like to be informed.

I was fortunate to be part of a group of citizens that dealt with the effects of the Lizardfolk's devastation visited upon the Blue Mushroom. Councilor Fryar was among the notables present, and I helped to purge the blight of these reptilian beasts' presence due to their worshop of the God of Disease, whom I shall not name.

We fought off some lizard warriors including a shaman and stealthers, then ventured into the Blue Mushroom. It was a shambles, and in the back where the rooms were, was a dark altar erected to their horrid god. After several unsuccessful attempts to destroy this abomination, a cask of what seemed to be alchemist's fire was produced and placed in such a way to destroy the shrine to the Diseased One. We then left the area into the Great Room of the Inn while the cask was lit.

After the explosion, dark energies coursed throughout the Blue Mushroom, and we went outside to avoid any contamination or injuries from it. Then, a monstrous beast of offal, carrion and worse burst from the Inn behind us and assaulted our party. Many of the less stalwart in our band nearly perished, but others stepped in to shield their sorely wounded and broken forms as they fell, and healings were adminstered by myself, others and even the victims if the were conscious and able to do so.

Empowered by the blessings of the Mother, I stood shoulder to shoulder with Fryar and other brave warriors and a titanic struggle ensued. I alternated well-aimed blows at what appeared to be the beast's weak spots, and timely use of my healing wand as my allies were smitten.

Finally the thing could absorb no more punishment, and it fell at the door of the Inn, releasing a noxious cloud of acid and pestilance that afflicted injury to those near. But a wondrous thing then occured as positive energies coursed about the structure and our party, as if the Lords and Ladies of Light approved of our acts. It was truly wondrous to behold this sight, and all knew that we had at least in part avenged those poor Deep Ones who had suffered such terrible tragedy.

We then buried the disease-ravaged and pitiful remains of the Lizards' victims near the South docks, and gave praise to the Greater Powers that we had struck a blow for Sanctuary and the powers of Good.

Praise Berronar!
