Two human children walked through a dark and frightening cave, surrounded by the noises of the Underworld. They knew not the nature of what surrounded them, and crept along with terror and fear. As they passed along, one of the children noticed a beautiful, emerald slime resting peacefully in a cranny. The first child was wickedly delighted to see the slime, at last something that seemed slow and helpless, amorphous and non-threatening. The second child urged the first to keep walking. The first child was tired of having to creep past the spiders, beasts, and monsters of the cave and wanted to throw rocks at the slime. Gleefully, it picked up rocks and lobbed them at the slime, cackling with every plop. The second child felt that to disturb that which did not threaten them was unwise, and wished to keep moving.
The emerald ooze moved towards the first child, and the child skipped away, throwing more rocks and taunting it. But with every toss, the slime seemed to grow in strength and speed, until the wicked giggles of the stone-throwing child turned to screams of terror and then pain.
The second child kept moving through the darkness, seeking no fight, until at last he came to the end of the cave and returned to his own lands.
Harm not the ooze, lest you be harmed. Seek out trouble from those who are not your enemies, and do not be surprised if trouble is what you find.

Luther Ambercrown sought to murder us, and was disabled. He swore an oath to leave us alone to our purposes without hunting us. He was promised the return of all of his earthly possessions if he simply tolerated our presence in the sewers of Dunwarren, claimed by the slime. I told him, when last we spoke, that if he broke his oath he would know that surely I would come for him. He broke this oath, and my brother and I hunted him down. He evaded us for a long time, but we are patient and found him, and his body has been granted to the ooze. We granted mercy to all of his companions so that they would carry this message to the others of the town.
If any of the town wish to speak with me in peace simply leave word with the goblins.

Buying potions of mage armor, of haste, of seeing, and of invisibility. Will buy in bulk for fair prices. If you will deal with me, no questions asked, you will be treated well in return. Leave a note with the goblins for Druul. - L. D.
