I bring fearsome news that I pray is not true. Word has reached my ear that there is a conspiracy abroad between the Spellguard, Baldev Cole and the Shadow Tribe kobolds. I write to you because the hatred you bear for the foul beastly kobolds can only perhaps be matched by mine.

The twisted, evil, foul, horrid, yipping, ghastly, depraved, loathesome beasts need to be removed from Lower Sanctuary and I fear the current arrangement between the Spellguard and the Shadow Tribe kobolds will ensure the horrid creatures have a foothold in Lower Sanctuary for years to come.

The arrangment is foul and twisted in its simplicity.

Baldev Cole and his kobolds have secretly established an alliance with the Spellguard. The Spellguard receive magical items from the Great Shadow's (The beastly dragon the kobolds worship) treasure horde in exchange for their support in Lower Sanctuary.

The Spellguard hide their treachery by pretending to be against the kobolds when in truth they are secretly allied with them. They quietly maneuver around the issue by keeping their activities and records secret.

For the moment, dear Councilor I would advise trusting no one. I know not who the kobolds have bribed. Please Councilor, I urge you to uncover and reveal this conspiracy for what it is before it is too late!
