This letter is neatly folded, and sealed in such a way that it cannot be read without breaking the seal. On the outside the text "To guardspeople of Upper city" is written in big, reasonably neat (although simple) handwriting.

Dear guardspeoples of Upper city,

Humphrey talked to Xguk the other day. Xguk says that lower merchants are very good and sells nice wares. Humphrey tells Xguk that he is stupid, and that upper city fine folks merchants must have much finer wares. Then Humphrey hit Xguk on head with spoon. Xguk tells Humphrey he bets him they aren't, and Humphrey says fine, so now Humphrey must find out! Only, is goblin, so fears I might get my head chopsed off if I try to go up, you see? Is great problem, but Humphrey figures maybe not so bad after all! So Humphrey writes this letter to asks of you, perhaps one of you could guide Humphrey from lift thing to merchants place of Upper city? Just for Humphrey to see for himself how nice their wares is, then Humphrey go downstairs again to tells Xguk he is wrong and will not bother you any more. Think perhaps you could helps Humphrey?
