I spared 2500 coins to Garv concerning the Footmen and we spoke shortly about my wishes for them concerning the latest tidings.

I'm hoping to see minor wages established to add some incentive for men to join, as well as coin to go towards finer equipment. I also understand that when Orison dealt with a few wealthy criminals that he deemed all of their equipment and belongings donated to the Footmen, likely upwards of five thousand in gold and equipment.

Has this been counted or put to use yet? If not it may be a decent idea to put it towards bolstering the wages and equipment with the coin I've offered.

Somethings that will be needed; Temporary guard by the Gates into Lower, I will speak with the Cave worms about having them act as reserves in times of crises.

More barricades between the Eastern Ward and Lower in case of battle the Footmen will be our first line of defense. We must prepare for the worst.

Wages in place to attract men, I'll have a few posters placed to recruit once it's decided.

Finer equipment to compare with any foes they may face.

With the coin I've spared and the donations made by Orison in the past I do not think this will be too costly. If it proves to be, I will find a way to afford it, simply tell me the difference.

Lastly, Anamir, a man said to be skilled in warfare has offered to train the Footmen, for no fee. I have suggested he clear and clean out part of the fortress to use as a training room and Garv was not opposed to this idea. If there are any problems with him, tell me and I will speak with him.

If there are any difficulties, I'll help as I may.
