We need a kudos forum...to make people feel good about their rp from other people who enjoyed it. That is all.

We don't need a kudos forum. I believe you've overlooked the ramifications of creating a kudos forum.

I don't like the idea for a few reasons. Here are some:

Firstly, those that aren't given a mention will almost certainly feel left out. Since more people will go unmentioned than mentioned, more people will be made to feel left out than complimented.

Secondly, I've seen such systems breed a group of individuals that think they're the dog's balls and are somehow better than other players. This is not so. No player ought to think this about themselves.

Lastly, you could be giving kudos to people who actually suck and glorifying their lameness, making their unwanted antics something to be desired. This has also happened before.

You could also just contact that person worthy of kudos OOC and privately (forum PM, IRC message, IG tell) and tell them -- well, privately.

Don't be afraid to tell a player, "Hey, you're awesome." Just be weary about waving it around on a banner.
