Letter to Amywieng Evrilo (and members of the Elven Warband)

Dear Amywieng (and members of the Elven Warband),

I would be honored and accept your invitation to join the Elven Warband. Dire as our circumstances might be, we shall prevail and overcome as a group the challenges that face us as we continue to dwell in the home of our enemies that is the Underdark. Having once been a captured slave to the drow, I’ve had to adapt to other ways in order to survive. I shall quickly retell my tale here as few know my story. I am a moon-elf, who as a newcomer travelled to the eastern shores of Toril from Evermeet. There I had wished to see more of the land. That was until soon after I was found captured by the drow, for my skill in blade and arrow was no match to their cunning. Having been enslaved and taken to their home beneath the ground, I met a human priest of Lathander in my prison. He comforted me with his words as he spoke of his god. Through this my darkest time, he gave me hope as I was enlightened by his truth. It gave me courage as I planned my escape from my prison. I managed to evade and free myself but the priest, my mentor, my friend fell to the drow. I took his priestly belongings from his dead body and found my way to Sanctuary. There my tale ends and the new chapter of my life begins. My time in Sanctuary has given me time to learn more about the Morninglord. My new faith has given me much to do here in this place. I have learnt and become skilled as a faith healer, a defence specialist and often times a crusader. But hear me as I make this clear to all, for I do acknowledge and have not forgotten my heritage and also pay my respects to the Seldarine as well for they to be also in my heart and forever shall I fight for our cause. My skill in blade and arrow combined with my new faith has turned me into a formidable foe against the denizens of the Underdark. For in darkness comes light and that is all I wish to be. To be hope and show that we all shall make it, whatever our circumstances might be. It is my calling and my reason to live. I only pray that you will all accept my new chosen path and journey, and will not hold my new faith against me. Long life and prosperity to you all.

Best regards, Amal Le’Quella

Amal,

I would like us to meet as soon as possible, for there is a task in hand not many days from now. Although your faith, you are still invited and welcomed within your kin here. Bereth Du, Amywieng Evrilo
