An inquiry into your deity is in order I think. From what I have heard he seems to be a rather reclusive individual, though some of his ideals are pleasing and shared by myself. I am far from one who is faithful, but I am sure there must be some scriptures crafting a broader idea of Ibrandul. I require such.

Greetings to you, Jalastancia. My name is Fuinnellethen, and I serve the temple as a priestess. Our scriptures are for the most part taught from priestess to acolyte, rather than written, though we do have a few texts. However they are quite precious and generally not shared with the public. I have written some of his basic tenets here for you. If you wish more elaboration on any aspect, do let me know, or seek me in person. I am always glad to speak to those who seek to learn the way.

“There is perfect freedom in perfect darkness: independence, individuality, liberty from the judgment of others. Ibrandul protects you and guides you in the dark ways. He drives away those who would do his children harm and from time to time reveals great treasures to those who venture into the depths. Remain steadfast to him, and he will stand by you.”

We worship the sanctity of the cave, and of the shadow. We respect and use all the senses, not just our eyes. Touch in particular can reveal much that the eyes do not know. The light is dangerous and must be used extremely sparingly and cautiously if at all. A torch in the darkness serves only to inform enemies of your presence. Instead, use your other senses to navigate and use the darkness as a cloak to keep you safe. The Underdark is a place of danger and it is the duty of Ibrandul's followers to create and maintain havens within it, and persuade those within it of the seldom appreciated wonders found below. Ibrandul is protector and guide to all in Sanctuary. All they must do is acknowledge Him and pay him respect.
