I know not your proper title, and thus I address this to you merely as Rollo.

First, I shall introduce myself. Although I despise titles, it is best you know who I am. I am Dornan Dragonsmith, Holy Warrior of Moradin. I have recently arrived in this town after a group of slaves and I escaped our captors and fled blindly into the underdark. I met with a kin once I stepped a mere foot into this town and he gave me great help; Talir was his name, he told me I should write to you concerning what he called the "Stouthearts"; intrigued, I picked up quill and ink and scribed this note. I would meet with you to discuss the Stouthearts, currently I am residing within the 'Rock Bottom Inn', by the Gate to this town. I hope this message finds you in good health.

Good Dornan,

I am happy to hear that another of Moradin's own has found the relative safety of this town known as Sanctuary. But make no mistake, this place is fraught with danger, treachery and deceit.

This is why the good shields of this place, and a few of our gold cousins as well, have banded together to celebrate our kinship, help each other survive, and come together in worship of the Morndinsamman.

And when we get the chance we celebrate life and share a good tale, laugh and perhaps an ale or two.

Make yourself known to be a good and law-abiding sort, as those who proclaim to follow Moradin should, and you may soon be welcomed into our ranks. We offer aid and companionship to all kin, but those who prove to be of stern mettle are brought into our Clan Stoutheart.

Tell me good Dornan, are you a Hammer of Moradin, a pious warrior who works to follow the creed of the Soul Forger, or a Sonnlinor who spreads his word? Each are worthy professions, and any who follow the Father's teachings will fit well amongst my Stouthearts.

Honourable Thane,

In my short stay within these walls I have been met with more evil and corruption than I have encountered for a long while; I find it hard to stay my hand when we share our beds with our ancient enemies the Duergar and fouler things yet, however, I have wisdom enough to know things are better handled slowly and within the city's Law.

I stay only as I believe it my sacred duty to protect the children of the Soul Forger that make their home within these walls. As a holy warrior I dedicate my life to the defence of clan homes, to the defence of Moradin's Children and to the defence of our Faith, I do not actively hunt, however, should a threat present itself I will be first to engage it directly, with the faith of our Lord Moradin in my heart.

Clan Stoutheart is a great and honourable thing, and I offer my services as protector and warrior for the clansmen. I will seek you out soon to meet you in person.
