A response to an urging found outside the Pissing Crone

Anonymous To the citizen's of this broken slave shanty.

[The note is written in thin and overly cursive writing, bordered by snowflake's trailing up and down the notes side]

The fires that blaze so openly here give me ever the headache. Your inns and your very city alight with flames that make me dwell in discomfort. Your stupidity and otherwise idiotic behavior in general throw your town in the sight of the Icedawn, and while my power wanes here, I assure you servants of the frostmaiden will and shall be found if the situation is not rectified in time. To blatantly ignore Auril's existence by not beseeching her in a manner most approving irks on her wrath, as well as mine. Fire is not the only light source available, and the Drow among other's are viewed better in her eyes than those that dwell here for this very reason.

I may just be a stupid little girl, sticking true to my God, my life and the meaning to which both hold. But I assure you, yes we are far from the Frozen plains of the North, but her fickle touch will be relentless and fatal if such foolishness continues.

See fit to stamp out and Extinguish all flames, cry out Auril's name with the passing of any breeze, and revere the Cold Goddess with all your soul. I fear for you safety if you refuse.

I reside in the Wet caves, any who seek me harm come and meet your end there. Any who seek words, see fit to revel in my radiance.

Caution: The area is hardly A friendly environment.

I seem to be in a bit of a predicament, as I do enjoy the warm touch only fire can provide as I rub my hands while standing near enough to the fire to feel its gentle caress. I am afraid if I revere Auril, Kossuth will be less than happy with me, and soon all of the elemental gods will be in an uproar as I turn to ask forgiveness from Kossuth for stamping out these flames that you with the authority of Auril tell me to do.

This will in turn draw the Icemaiden's wrath again, as well as the Lord of Water's. Gruumbar's ire may even be drawn as I respect one element over the other. I might upset you by writing this, but I hope you can forgive my impertinence with a warm, tender, caring heart over a shared pint of Shadowdark ale while we warm our toes near a firey hearth, in the finest establishment around, the Pissing Crone.

I do not think you a stupid little girl, you must have intelligence to pick up an ink and quill and write, unless you dictated this note to a scribe and due to the dribble found within it, you almost assuredly did in which case I must withdraw my statement of "I do not think you a stupid little girl".

I am also glad you see the Mori'Quessir in such a fine light, perhaps you might wish to head off to Traensyr and profess you admiration of their cold hearted ways outloud at their gates. Ironically, they are more likely to enslave you than give you a warm welcome, or should I say a cold welcome if you find that more preferable. The freedom you found here in Sanctuary will be lost and you yourself a victim to another's cold heart, but that must be a small price to pay if you are helping to spread hatred and coldheartedness.

I would also like to thank you for your concern over my safety if I refuse to cry out Auril's name with the passing of any breeze, and revere the Cold Goddess with all my soul, clearly your heart is not entirely frozen, but I am sure I will get by just fine. I hope you can respect my freedom to make my own choices and decisions.

As for your headache, I suggest you seek out a healer, I am sure he or she can recommend a mushroom that should relieve that ever irritating ache in the head. If the fires still annoy you to a degree, I suggest you take up my previous suggestion and head to Traensyr. Auril has enough cold places in the Underdark, have you ever been swimming in the Dark Lake? I would recommend it in your particular case, the cold might invigorate you and even relieve your headache.

I hope we can meet sometime and reconcile matters someday

How very witty, though in truth I should have expected such for doing what is humbly asked and required of me, it is all a trial. Mock the gods as you see fit and continue your retort's for the "Bravo, Bravo" you desperately seek. I suppose one must do what is required to pass the time down here. and yours has undoubtedly lead to a life of cheap hilarity and irritation to mock something that holds meaning. I do hope you continue your course.

On a side note do seek the Wet Caves so I can remove your teeth and adjust your attitude.

Or-

Feel free to continue your jabs and pokes for this will be my last reply to such mundane things.

Dear anonymous, or "She who is most blessed"

Thank you for your kind words, continue down this path and you just might know something of joy, laughter and love instead of brooding, hatred, and the little icicles that resemble stalactites growing down from your eyebrows that you must stare at all day long. Till then, keep brooding and planning frosty deaths for us all, I am sure they will be advertently haulted.

P.S. My teeth are quite fine as they are thank you, and I do so enjoy my attitude to those that threaten the freedoms of others, it brings me a small amount of joy. That's counterproductive to your cause, is it not? I can never get Auril straight. No matter. Byeee!
