Letter to Dhimani, Ferrington, Delgado.

Eleint 9th 151 Recipients: Animator Dhimani, Field Officer Ferrington, Agent Delgado Subject: Animation of Animatrons (documents concerning the) Good dark,

This letter was directed at you through the advice of Agent Lathain. If misplaced or unapplicable, apologies are extended. The core of the matter is that I would like to have access to documentation pertaining to the animation of animatrons, possibly even assist to one such animation.

I am particularly interested in matters of animatron possession by elemental spirits, and I believe the animation process / binding rituals / command spells used by yourselves and your colleagues may yield crucial insight in my progress, despite not being a practitioner of magic myself.

It is my belief that some of the Mechanists of old have likely put their souls in some animatrons rather than elemental spirits, for the purpose of being an intrinsic part of the Machine. With the help of your Order, I hope to be able to identify which animatrons those would be, and succeed in communicating with these souls for additional knowledge in general Machine maintenance / repairs / completion or other subjets of mechanical interest, without mentioning the opening of dialog between the original Mechanists and Sanctuary.

Machine's blessing, Tiziano Azzari Rock Bottom Inn.

No.

-Field Officer Ferrington Order of the Spellguard

Eleint 9th 151 Recipients: Animator Dhimani, Field Officer Ferrington, Agent Delgado Subject: Rejected Query Good dark,

Field Officer Ferrington has rejected my earlier asking for access to documentation pertaining to the animation of animatrons. The earlier demand now fits the prerequisite for invoking the Citizenship Awareness Act, meaning that should the Spellguard Order refuse to release the documentation in question again, the demand will be presented before the Council, who will vote on whether or not it is in the best interests to reveal this secretive procedure.

You will find, attached, a copy of the Citizenship Awareness Act, though I am certain you are all very familiar with the various laws of Sanctuary.

I find it wholly sad that the most learned agency of Sanctuary pertaining to Dunwarren, the Machine, and animatrons decides to refuse a citizen who has such a dedication to these same matters. Whether the Spellguard Order and I wishes it or not, our paths are likely to cross. Why not work in friendship and honesty, rather than rejection and secrecy?

Spend a good dark,

Tiziano Azzari Rock Bottom

[As promised, a copy of the Citizenship Awareness Act is included in the missive]

[Ferrington forwards the correspondence to Animator Dhimani.]

Citizen Azzari,

The last thing we need is for the citizenship and the criminal organizations to exploit our animatron designs and render them useless in law enforcement and for purposes of external defense. You may have as much access as you want if you joined the Order, but until then Animator Dhimani will look at your request. Further correspondence will be with him.
