Potions

Heya,

I would have put this in suggestions but i dont want ppl commenting on it if it cant even be done.

The question/suggestion: With potions, can we remove the spell light things. It'd make roleplaying a lot better because in all the books i've read, i've never once seen that "he quickly drank the potion, and eerie blue, white and yellow magic lights showed up all around him" and also, it would make discreetly drinking a potion easyer. The question part, can this be done? The suggestion part, do it please.

I'm not an expert on this matter but I think potions are spells kept in liquids. They're actual spells, not just liquids that have similar effects to the spells. This means you actually get the spell cast upon you when you drink the spell. Any visuals associated with the spell ought to be applied when you drink, as far as I know.

This is technically feasible, although it would require modifying tons of spell scripts which would be a little bothersome.

I have no idea about desirability.

Maybe not for healing potions, because they'd see your wounds visably closing anyway. But just for things like protectin vs good/evil. Or things like mage armour.

If not then alrighty, it was just an idea :)

It's not desirable.
