*Letter to the upper council*

//ignore my bad spelling, im very tierd

Councilmen,

Word of the "slaver races" being stripped of their rights has reached me and i must say, i am outraged such racisum divides a city in which all people relly on eachother for survival. I am awair that two of the council are members of the Order of the Penitant Heart, i know that one is even the Grand Master of the order, how can you, as paladins, stand idly by as such a thing happens!? The MAJORITY of such races may be evil, so we condem them all? I though i left such judging by race behind when i escaped from the drow, i also thought this city valued eqality. True, most of the goblins, kobolds and orcs are evil, but, from personal experiance i can tell you that not all of them are. Half orcs are a perfect example, they are hated and even feared whereever they go, and THAT is what pushes most of them to evil. And if the council of such a otherwise great town, with two who can see the auras of others in it, can not tell that no one is born evil, chaos wont be far from our doorsteps.

- Harley, training paladin of Tyr.

Meldren laughs for several minutes upon recieving the letter, he pens a reply, snickering all the way through.

Harley,

What kind of moron are you? Perhaps you were not tortured enough as a slave, that you think goodness can exist in the beastly races that murder citizens within our walls.

The half-orcs in this city have been nothing but trouble. Have you heard of the Redclaw? Not more than a few weeks ago they were tromping through Lower Sanctuary, bellowing the name of their bloodthirsty tribe. The half-orcs who contribute to society in any way are a distant minority, and so will be permitted to go through the same process that other demi-human races are allowed to go through to achieve citizenship, while the stupid beasts who do not know how, do not have the patience to, or do not care, will go on being nuissances to society and may be punished or exiled more easily, as is proper.

Councillor Meldren

*Harley gets the reply, mutters things that should not be heard from a paladin, then throws it away.*

//again ignore the spelling please

*Another note is left outside the council door by a very angery looking fifteen-or-so year old human.*

Council,

Regarding your descrimination of race. There are races of the surface that keep slaves, there are many humans who do. Why should the humans not loose their rights also? I want to talk to one of you in person, preferably councilor Shane or counciler Fryar.

- Harley, paladin in training.
