Is there anyway I can recover the items I lost in my lag death last night. I was playing with my primary charecter, Shank, and I had just bought new equiment and had some cool treasure (and I had leveled). But I was exploring the cavern and was doing fairly well against half a dozen kobolds and an Earth Elemental.

My computer began acting slower and slower. Until finally, when trying to escape in a laggy situtation the Earth Elemental spontaneously appeared and instantly ended me, I was unconcious but swarmed by the kobolds and the Earth Elemental.

I had no choice but to die! And if any DMs were on, they were ignoring me (there were only eleven players [counting me] on)! I lost many good items and I respawned twice and died then I tried the masoleum but still died, because my corpse was swarming with baddies!

Is there any possibility at all that I can get my stuff back? I can give you a list, 'cause Shank is now on the Fuge Plane, and I am not about to give him up. I had alot of gold, as I was paying a number member and Shank doesn't understand banking.

I'll give you a list if you like....If they can be replaced or returned? All I own now is a burial shrowd, none of the awesome items and the gold Shank once had with him. :cry:

Understandable...I just don't want to start over :cry: , which I am going to have to do...

I relize have plenty of charecters designed for the sole purpose of suicide, but Shank started out as one but matured into one of my persistant charecters. Second only to Samar, who also is dead and is unrespawnable.

Do not go exploring solo unless you expect and can handle a quick death in the wilderness. It's that easy.

I empathise with you however, and have died more than once in the wilderness on solo missions. On respawning and getting killed again I would offer the following advice: do not respawn when there are baddies around. You will die again.
