i let my cousin play on my account playing one of my characters.... this will NEVER happen again and i am truly sorry for any grief he may have caused.. I actually really enjoy the server and.. if anyone would note... normally when that character is played he casts no magic in town... i believe the "law" he is refering to is the spellgaurd posting in town hall... not for certain... please.. disregard the previous post and accept my apologies...

1) The laws that exist and are enforced are more than just the ones in the "law book". Pretty common mistake for people to make there.
2) Its something that should be dealt with in game and in character, because it is a problem that exists in character and isn't a part of the way the server is actually designed per se-ie, suggesting it here isn't going to fix it.

I'm pretty sure I was involved with a few things with you this evening. Firstly, I apologize for not talking to you more after you made that sending. I usually speak to people that are new here about the basics of EFU, because I want you to have fun.
However, if a character in a law enforcement position tells you to do something, you should probably listen to them or be prepared to deal with the consequences. Use your common sense. "Playing tag" with weapons in the street, among other things, is going to be frowned upon.
I hope what happened doesn't bother you too much, and I'd be happy to speak with you through PMs (ingame or through the forums). Be sure to take some time to read through the forums so that you gain a better understanding of the setting and the rules.
Regards,
Winston

If PC's are harassing you for violating non-laws (like having a weapon out), feel free to pursue it IG!
Much better than pursuing it on the forum where it doesn't matter.

Being accused of breaking the law whether written or not is all part of the fun of living in Sanctuary.
Those in the lower might be prone to subdue you first then discuss things.
More likely you'll have more fun learning about the laws in game rather than reading them and trying be good.
(You know how pushy barbarians get when they pressure elves to return their stuff from a fallen pack. Especially at 2am in the morning. Yeah that was me. )

Neither having a weapon out or using magic from the school of necromancy is against the laws of Sanctuary. Animating the dead was made illegal through PC actions, but other spells from that school are fine according to the law of Sanctuary - subject to the same casting laws as all magic, of course.
I want you to imagine Sanctuary not as a developed, sophisticated 21st century city with a developed system of law, but rather something more akin to a wild west town. I will say that it surprises me that PCs have passed as few laws as they have, back when the server was beginning we deliberately left out some laws in the hopes that PCs would pass them instead with their own flavor... however, after a year of play the lawbook is still pretty primitive and open to interpretation.
