A Perilous Evil - Lethal Encounter

I think we all agreed yesterday that the encounter placed right in front of the stairwell on what is either the final level or the one before it (ExileStrife and Lance can confirm which) on this particular quest needs to be moved a little further away. Currently it seems the encounter triggers as soon as you enter the transition down, making it absolutely impossible to get away from the stairwell.

I have no screenshots so I can't narrow down the location more specifically, other than saying it's where we resurrected Lance.

I don't actually know why I put this in bug reports originally...

wait, what happened?

The tooth fairies just sort of surprised us, that's all.

Definately seconded. It's spoilery to explain exactly what was encountered and where, but there was so much that it locked our party on the platform to such an extent that we couldn't move to go back through the transition.

I believe it may have been lag related, as I've done this quest numerous times and never had a problem there.

The issue is that a very large party will result in very large spawns, and monsters that have been spawned from encounters will wander around. And then when you go through a transition non-stealthed all the monsters in the general area will see you and then rush over to fight you, which then results in the bottle-neck.

Just petrify them so they don't wander around. Or fight back...

I suppose this could very well be the case. The lag just meant they were all waiting for us when we finally transitioned.

I like Staring's suggestion, though. >.>

FIRE BALL. That's a simple solution to solving the bottle neck problem.

And when you're chilling in the fugue when you end fireballing yourself and all your party?

From what I'm told, your group had a situation where you sent someone through the transition unstealthed to scout out the area but he ended up luring back all the monsters to the transition point in a very laggy situation.

Oh, I wasn't actually aware of that, if that is indeed the case. Though it leaves me with the question as to why they heck we'd do something as stupid as that ( I blame the Spellguard for being in charge). :/
