A Letter to the Council.

Elesais 23rd, 1373DR

I wish to speak to one of you at your earliest convenience, preferrably one with knowledge on spectators, or at the very least, the vile beholders, if there is one such among you.

Leave word for me at the Rock Bottom.

Ansirus of the Companions of the One True Vision.

Goodman Ansirus,

As I am sure you are aware, we on the council are incredibly busy men with a great deal of requests for our time. Perhaps you could make it more clear why your questions warrant the attention of the Council, instead of first bringing your query before the Spellguard or some other knowledgeable organization of Sanctuary.

Sincerely,

Alexander Archibald

This is indeed a subject of great importance, and I'm glad you're taking interest on the topic. I will do everything I can to educate you.

-Councilor Castile.

    Councillor Archibald,

I would be a fool to think that you do not already have plenty of matters to tend to, many of them far more important than mine, but I did write "earliest convenience." I also have already sought out the Society of the Ordered Mind and found them to be very cooperative, yet unable to help me with my particular issue.

    Councillor Castile,

I understand from the Archivist that you, prior to your getting a seat in the Council, were a member of the Society of the Ordered Mind. As such I very much look forward to speaking to you, but until you find time for me in your schedule I ask that you consider this, however irrelevant it might seem: what, and how long, did it take for the people of Sanctuary to fully trust these animatrons stationed around town?

Ansirus of the Companions of the One True Vision.

Sadly I do not know the answer to that specific question. If you'd like to speak about the terrible threat the Beholders pose to all sentient creatures though, I'd be more than glad to offer you some of my time.

-Eugene Castile.

Eleasis 24th, 1373DR

It was not because I was looking for the answer to the question myself, but rather to make the case I still hope to present to you clearer. I would indeed like to speak to you, though more about a specific breed of beholder-kin, the spectator, than actual beholders.

Ansirus of the Companions of the One True Vision.
