Letter to the the Sanctuary Watch in Upper

[This letter is smudged, and the handwriting is erratic]

Dear sirs,

I was asked to write this letter by Julian Fryar.

One week ago from yesterday, there was a sending that said there would be someone selling a "mysterious thing" down in the sewers in lower. I went to find out where that was, and if it was something I would want.

I wandered around in the sewers, and happened upon a group of mysterious people, all of which were unknown to me. There was a pale stick of a man that a fat blonde woman was introducing to everyone. This pale man was evil to the core, and I realized he was one of the undead. A vampire. I later learned the names of two of these peoples. The fat blonde is known as Sonia, known to many to be a practicing necromancer. She was introducing the vampire to Isarna Skatterhawk. The vampire said, "Eat of my flesh" and Isarna and Sonia both looked pleased. There was talk of the vampire offering a great "boon" to all those that wanted it. When they realized I was there, some of the group turned their attentions to me, and I ran to get help. I told Julian what I had seen, and he gathered a group of comrades to investigate. When we arrived, the vampire and all those that were at this dark ritual were gone. As I was telling Julian about what I had seen, Tommy Ten Irons arrived, and used some strange device to make a portal. Julian and Tommy started talking, and it seemed that the investigation into this vampire ritual was ended.

Yesterday, I was telling this tale to some comrades, and they were quite perplexed. They confronted Sonia, and she denies everything. They had asked me for proof, but of course I have none, other than what I wrote down right after I saw what I saw.

This letter is only information. I do not have any proof other than relating to you what I saw and heard. If there is more to this, and I find proof, I will bring it to the City Watch.
