WARNING!

(Invisible bodies are hard to heal. Be weary when using them to avoid death. That is how this whole fiasco started)

A general warning to players with -con items.

If you use them, do not wear them and die, then respawn to your corpse.

It will screw you out of massive ammounts of "ph@t XP".

I today purchased a +cha, -con item, and forgot to remove it before I went questing.

After you die (note in the screenshot, "Fancy belt" is the -con item)

If you respawn to your corpse, you are given the "Auto-equip" event.

As that happens, you are at 0 hp.

If you have a -con item on at the time, it gets re-equipped, and you are dropped to -1 hp.

If that occurs, and you have no healing kits in the part (As was my case >_<), you slowly bleed to death and die again.

Which, my friends, is quite the annoying event.

In my infinite wisdom, I thought it was a random bug, so I respawned yet -again-

The process repeated, and I died once more.

So instead of 1 death, I got 3.

Instead of respawning once to an inconvenient bug, I ended up having to do it a total of 4 times.

Death due to invisible corpse bug->Respawn-> belt Death-> respawn -> second belt death->realized the problem and had the person with me remove the -con item->respawned and lived.

Perhaps this is a mass-death-related rant, but I think it's a good thing to throw out there as example.

Beware of negative to con items (And turning invisible with low HP then getting killed because your friends can't see your corpse!).

Ouch, thanks for the warning! Is Chuck back to level one?

I'd say that counts a bug.

Maybe -con items need to be looked at for that reason.

You may be able to prevent that from happening by switching to Subdual/Sparring mode - Don't try, though. It's a wild guess. But since "yoú" damage yourself, it should be the case.

Not even your improve expertise can save you now!

Ouch >_>

Own3d by oneself!

It's not the -con item....

I think it's simply the wrath of the Dwarven Gods giving him some payback for cursing them.

What sort of Dwarf doesn't have 20 Con. For shame, Whitey.

Time to convert to the NWN God of Game Mechanics.
