After stumbling across this thread, I began pondering what could be done with these skills.

Could two feats that aren't had in NWN serve as substitutes for these now useless skills? Craft Trap is now 'Knowledge: Animatrons' - why not have two other usefull skills be included instead of letting those skills go to waste?

Have I missed the thread where this has been discussed to death? It seems like an interesting discussion. Any suggestions?

Craft Trap is now the general engineering skill, not specifically for Animatrons, but it is one of the skills associated with them in addition to spellcraft and lore.

Craft trap is indeed "engineering." It is not a measure of how well you know animatrons.
