Drow in and around TraensyrThis is a compilation of some information in our old reports and some new information purchased from a drunken drow sailor on the Kuo-Toa island accessible from Mur for 50 coin. (100 for a return afterwards) Also, the sailor charges 20 coin per question.
Traensyr originally had 7 major houses, until a few years ago there were only five. House Jhael’nyihr was the ruling house for 2000 years until Matron Gindriira was assassinated just a few years back by Temrariel, of the six-fingers. This house is now not spoken of. Temrariel was a follower of Ghaunadaur, the slime lord. He assasinated Gindriira in the Cathedral of the Eternal Web.
The four remaining houses of Traesyr are:
Augzau’ren - Wealthiest traders and merchants Jultar – The most numerous and strongest house Pharnifae - "a very proud house to be sure" Kenap - Beloved by the spider queen
Other dead houses: The haunted Noctivir Jhael’nyihr other?
Most of Traensyr’s vast wealth comes from a vast trading caravan that leads to the surface. This path is clear, but extremely dangerous as long as Traensyr exists.
There are rebels and criminals operating in and around the sewers beneath Traensyr, these rebels are against the houses of Lloth that hold sway in Traensyr. These rebels may be followers of Ghaunadaur as they flood the streets from time to time. (and Temrariel may have learned the lessons of lichdom from some powerful being in the sewers)
Major religious factions of Traensyr:
Lloth – Spider demon. Holds power in Traesyr.
Ghaunadaur – Slime god. See reports on Vhuln, the cursed sinking island, naval sabotage, and the journals found on the drow ship filled with slime. Hypothesized to have some power in Traensyr, perhaps clandestinely in the sewers. The six-fingered lich assassin Temrariel followed this god. These fingers were once hidden in the stomachs of slaves that escaped here to Sanctuary. They would have been needed to revive this demon trapped near the market of Traensyr. Temrariel also once called an ancient slime from the depths of the dark lake that attacked the port of Traensyr.
Kiaransalee – Goddess of undeath. Silver ring symbol. Many of these cults were appearing around the badlands and dark lake. Silent for some time. Their status in Traensyr is unclear, but with their bases outside of the city they are not likely welcomed.
Vhaeraun – God of thievery and trickery. The drow in Sanctuary were said to have followed this god. Status in Traensyr uncertain, but with their bases outside of the city they are not likely welcomed.
