*angry letter to the spellguard in multiple copies*

Dear Agents and assorted affliated spell flinging Rotheholes of your tower,

your agent lance recently came along with me on an exploration of the canal so that I could retrieve some arrows. Not only did he service no help on the expedition, he only managed to piss off a group of men and a goblin.

After abandoning my group without so much as a word, we were then jumped by said men and goblin as they thought we were friends of his. Despite my nearly shouting to the contrary, my group was decimated.

Once again your rothing medling in what I do has cost me wounds, time, equipment and gold. The other, more memorable, occurance is when you sent that blasted snitch Barrister along with my group into the Armory. That is after snatching my research and refusing to share any of your own information with me.

Your group is a collective of unsensitive, rude, arrogant, blantantly stupid and clumsy fools who do nothing to service this city other than to bring more hardships upon all of us by both your inaction and incompetent sucessful actions.

I highly recommend that you throw yourself off the nearest ledge to lower and save us all the pain of your stupidity and short sightedness by draggin unwilling fellows along on your senseless acts.

Tarnis Westwind

Westwind,

I believe the following is an accurate account of what actually happened:

You invited me on this expedition. I came along. We were confronted by Grundigle and his cronies. Seeing as I was the only Law Official there I would have been targeted. I retreated. I told one of your members of your so called exploration party where I was going; it is not my fault at all that your entire group was made up of incompetant fools and therefore the message was not passed on.

Grundigle is a criminal. He kills for fun. It only highlights the fact that he is a dangerous maniac. I have no doubt in believing that this was in fact common banditry and your groups inability to defend themselves should not be blamed either on myself, or the Spellguard Order.

I also resent the fact that you openly threaten my life within the Spellguard Tower, attempting to assault my person due to your belief that your own inability to lead an expedition is my fault.

I understand this isn't the first of your expeditions that you have botched and then blamed on the Spellguard.

Once you can keep your own party safe perhaps your argument will have merit. Until then, save me and my fellow Agents the headache of reading your pathetic letters.

Kind regards,

Agent Lathain Order of the Spellguard

My group was defending ourselves against many very dangerous Fey at the time we were attacked by the group that only attacked us because they assumed you were with us. Additionally, I told you that we would make NO attempt to follow the goblin at all since I was leading the expedition and that was not the goal of my trip.

When they saw you leave, they assumed you would bring help. Which you did attempt to do. You also left us when you had promised to aid us with protection against our minds from the Fey and Umberhulks we were to encounter.

As far as my previous expeditions have been concerned, I have had only a single botched attempt that involved the Armory when a person YOUR organization planted in my group began looting items and generally causing chaos in the enclosed room. Those actions then drew the attention of the chosen waiting outside. When we were pinned down I gave orders to gather at the door to create a blockade, of which none, including your 'plant' did, resulting in several near deaths in my group.

My leadership is sound when I am prepared for the task I face. But in both cases, your interference has cost nearly all of my group their lives.

My cooperation with your group ends immediately until it shows that it truly has the best interests of the citizens at heart.

And just so you know, my trip was to procure arrows that have a confusion effect upon striking a foe. Something that I don't believe even your mighty wizardry can create. And something that would greatly aid you and the Watch in capturing foes.

AS for personally threatening you, I didn't even touch you. Nor did I make any threats against you or your group or anyone elses group. I simply voiced my frustration at your inadvertent involvement of my group.

If you wish record of it, I';m sure Officer Barkley, Syrov and that other fellow in the room can confirm my words.

Cordially,

Tarnis
