After 3 days of sitting on his desk, this letter and the accompanying toy are mailed by accident when Cog pays an urchin to clean up his room and organize his papers for him.
Attached to the letter is a small set of gears with feet, that when wound, hops around on whatever surface it is placed on. The letter itself appears hastily written, moreso as you get to the end of it.
Dear *hastily stroked out* Alistra,
It was nice to see you. You look nice. I made this for you.
Cog.

A letter awaits on the desk, no one is able to tell how it got there, sealed with a blank seal. Upon opening it, several petals, that were obviously dried and conserved between some book pages a long time ago and hence are completely shrivelled, withered and blackened, no telling what kind of flower (if any) they belonged to; are floating out of the envelope.
The letter inside has a peculiar scent, as if too many, mismatching sorts of perfume had been applied to it.
Dear Cog,
My thanks for the gift, I have liked it much.
I wish I could give anything in return..
I will like seeing you again.
~Alis
Below is a detailled drawing of a black lotos flower. The handwriting itself is flourished to perfection, still containing some mistakes that have been elaborately crossed out and corrected.
