Dear Sir,
I was glad that I could be of service yesterday with that small problem you had within your workshop. Not only was the pay appreciated, but the chance to see firsthand some of the tools, methods, and techniques that are in use within your laboratory was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for an enthusiast like myself.
Time permitting, I wonder if I could throw some questions to you regarding the inner workings of the Spellguard Animatrons? Specifically:
1. How do you "encopulate" the instructions you want the animatron to follow onto the shiny disks? How are these disks read? Do you strictly use recovered disks from the original Dunwarren Animatrons? Do you manufacture your own disks? What are they made out of?
2. What is the motivational force that makes the Animatrons move? Is it purely mechanical? How did you overcome the frigtion? Do they need to be wound or charged? Where is the motivational force stored within the shell? Is magic used at all to power them? In what form?
3. What are the main operational tenets under which the machines run? Do they have guidelines that determine their behavour? Can they operate outside of these imperatives? Is there a possibility that one imperative could conflict with another?
4. How did you overcome Machelli's Third Law of Conjugation of Magic? The machines you have seem to be capable of operating under their own power infinitely, and the law plainly states that "Magic can neither be created nor destroyed, only transferred from one state to another within the bounds of the weave". I'm curious how you are effecting the change of state within some of your machines.
Anyways, I drone on now, as I am prone to when I speak on this topic. If you can find the time to answer these 4 simple questions for me, it would be greatly appreciated. I still plan to stop by some time for a conversation, and I found some lovely tea I'll bring with me when I do. Time is my greatest adversary, as I'm sure you can understand.
Sincerely counting the ticks to your reply, Cog Ippensher.
