[This speech was given at the Town Hall on Eleasis 10th Year 151 - 1373 DR.]

Thank you for coming, my brothers and sisters. As you have heard, I'm sure, the voting has come to an end, and we have new Councilors. Let us congratulate them on their victories.

There is much that this Council must accomplish in this session. I am sure you may be discontent with the large number of abominations and beasts within the city. These beasts who have the legal right to vote in our elections.

Is it not bad enough that we allow them to roam through our streets, preying upon children to eat or sacrifice to their dark gods? Must we also allow them to elect -our- leaders as well?

Where is the justice? Where is the outrage? I tell you, friends, this is wrong! There is another way - a better way!

The Purifying Flame does not abide by abominations or beasts. It guides the righteous, purifies the wicked and consumes the unworthy.

It burns as a light within the darkness of this place - a beacon of hope and salvation. Look around you and you will see nothing but darkness. Look to the Purifying Flame and you shall find the light that holds it at bay.

These monsters, these beasts, they are savages that should not be allowed into our gates. Kobolds and Goblins - do you trust them? I do not! You let them vote in our elections? You should not!

What of the abominations, the Half-Orcs and the Demonspawn? The Half-Orcs are nothing more than savage brutes who have done nothing but slaughter innocent citizens, and the same is true for the Demonspawn though they are far more dangerous due to their cunning.

I have seen it with my own eyes. My eyes do not lie to me - these beasts and abominations are a danger to everyone near them.

Just a few days ago, I had the pleasure of meeting a man, a Seeker of the Way, by the name of Kor'us Corcael. I did not know this man very well but I can say one thing: He was brave.

He was lured into a trap by a Demonspawn - a Tiefling - and as a result he is now dead. A Kobold unleashed a great Red Dragon from its prison, the same beast which has slain the Seeker.

This Dragon now roams. It hunts. It looks to feed upon the innocent citizens of this city. Why? Because of a Deamonspawn and a Kobold.

This is the danger that I speak of and it is only one example. Do not be fooled by their words. They will seek to persuade you, but I tell you this: the Demonspawn are cunning and their vile tongues speak nothing but lies.

Do you not believe me? Ask the Watchman who guarded the Demonspawn's prison cell. The Demonspawn is now free because it was able to trick him. This is the power such beasts hold, and it is the danger that we face.

There is only one solution. Exile the beasts and abominations of this city, and if they return put them to death. Only then will we know, with certainty, that when we walk the streets we won't be cut in half by a rampaging Half-Orc. That we won't be lured into a trap by a Demonspawn. That we won't be the dinner of a Dragon thanks to a Kobold.

We leave this up to you, Councilors. Do not let us down.
