My dear friends,

I have good news. After meeting with Council Member Bhast last night, we are now at least a third of the way to fully funding out project. He agreed to put up a third of the cost, or 10,000 of the estimated 30,000 needed to build our center. He asked only that the center be named after his mother, who generously gave to the poor until her own passing. With such investment, I am inclined to allow him his memorial to her. Perhaps we could tag our own name onto the end to satisfy both our hopes, such as the "Susan Bhast Memorial House of Light" or something similar. These are details that we will iron out later.

This is indeed a large step to realizing our goal. Hopefully, if the Archibald family is willing to donate, then we will soon be ready for construction. In the meantime, I will continue to collect from those willing to give, every little bit helps.

There are tasks that each of you could be doing to help. Seek me out and I will discuss them with you. In the meantime, may Ilmater keep you safe, and contented.
