Esteemed members of the Spellguard,

I would like to meet with one of you concerning some questions and issues that are still lingering about our possession of the area under the Ruined Stair, known commonly as the Pit.

First, I spoke with Sergeant Marshall of the Watch and she expressed concerns about the language of the contract that Agent Varlam had previoiusly submitted. I have no concerns with her designating that officers may be sergeants in order to request permission to enter our private quarters. Has this matter been resolved?

Second, what legal authority will the Stoutheart Clan have in this area, particularly pertaining to trespassers? I would like to place a sign informing citizens that there is a restriction on uninvited acess to the area and the dewllings thereon. One of my good priests was assualted just a handful of days ago when he was on patrol in the area. He has a physical description of the perpetrator, and it was a user of the arcane arts. Perhaps you might be willing to assist in identifying and arresting this individual as well, as he used magics in an unwarded area to assualt my Clansman.

Third, Agent Varlam informed me that the Spellguard would likely be able to ward the post house and all connected interior areas, and perhaps the Pit area istelf. I would like to know if this has been discussed and whether it might be implemented soon to help us patrol the area as per our contract. I was fined 50 coin by Agent Lathain, and I'd rather that not become a recurring infraction. As you all know, the use of magics of both the arcane and divine nature are of great assistance in combating the dangerous creatures that continue to infect the area.

Fourth, Agent Varlam also indicated that he or another Agent would conduct a study of the nature and significance of the rune-incscribed ruined pillars that are quite numerous in the area. All the beasts that are found in this area have the ability to fly, and I was wondering if there was a connection to the pillars....possibly attracting them to the area.
