Bounty quest

These quests are listed as 4-7. I suspect these levels need to be adjusted upwards, or the difficulty downwards. I have found two bountes before, and they were staggeringly hard. Both so hard that melee characters in the party were totally useless. The AC was high, and their damage output extreme. One party member was brought from 50 odd hps to -7 in one round. I couldn't hit them as a level seven. I fear for some poor noob party of levels four and five.... it would be a massacre of biblical proportions.

I agree with this, unfortunately the DM that made the quest is busy at the minute with other things!

The question is whether we disable it outright or not until it's fixed, or leave it there hoping that some miniscule percentage can actually complete it!

I agree that this quest needs to be looked at and balanced a bit more.

I suggest that untill that DM rides cavalry to fix it, that the difficulty be changed to say 6-10... so that people know its as easy as crash tackling a semi-trailer.

You either had a very small party, or a very unprepared party (or you were just very, very unlucky), because it's not that hard. Some of the NPCs can practically be solo'ed with the right class, while a few others require a very competent party. Granted, IIRC, Thrawn implemented the mutant script some time ago, so you could've run into a case of extra badness, but otherwise, assuming this hasn't been changed, the NPCs don't even scale according to the party at all.

Temporarily disabling the quest might still be an idea, though, since I could see how some people might get a bit upset about struggling with one of the harder NPCs only to find that they can't get the XP reward.

On a related note, did you perchance notice any odd faction issues? I don't remember if Thrawn got that fixed or if it disappeared by itself (or still is there).

I implemented it, but I don't believe it's actually being used anywhere yet.

Oh, right. But I'm pretty sure he at least considered adding it to the bounty NPCs.

I agree we only just managed to get one down after a fully buffed party with pretty much everything we could put on ,on.

These guys arent even buffed, they're like avatar's of garagos ;)

Mutant script eh? Sounds interesting
