[Handed personally to Ivlysar: "To all Seekers"]

[The letter is sealed. On its front is a note: "To all Seekers, to be read and shared in thought."]

Seekers,

After some scouting and deliberation, the Society is interested in utilizing the ruins which once housed the druid Breen, his companions, and his monsters as a base of opperations in the wilds, especially near the sand cavern area. We would like to offer to you the proposal of joint custodialship of this ruin, to be shared between us for all of its pruposes.

We would like to use it as a staging point for scouting and offensive opperations in the region, as well as a fall-back point in case if anything were to happen to the Chapterhouse or Sanctuary. We believe that the ruins could also be a very useful base for slave liberation attempts Seekers wish to make in the Chabzash/Ysinode region. It could also serve as a platform for scouting for surface routes (as the area near the Sand Caverns are usually left unscouted because of its hostility), as well as a place to monitor the happenings in the Windy Caverns and the Thin Road, for that development is quite worrisome.

We would need, to be able to use the edifice with some security, a clean-up opperation to remove the heavy webbing and infestation of insects in the ruin. We will also need to close off the doorway which leads into a chasm. Until we know where the chasm leads, we can only assume Beholders or Umber Hulks could come up through it. We would need, as well, to create a route of entrance or exit that does not lead into the Sand Caverns, because even the short distance from Breen's former lair to the staircase is dangerous. Furthermore, we need a defensive system such as protective barricades, and possibly even long-term guards. Procured animatrons which could function outside of Sanctuary may be reliable for the task. The worse preparation we would need to make is some way to prevent umber hulks from burrowing into the ruin.

I hope that this proposal for a jointly-owned outpost has perked your interest. We hope to hear back from you shortly.

The Society of the Ordered Mind.

Laramie, I spoke briefly with Meg about this as well. Sounds like a fine idea. You certainly have my assistance - Grey
