By accident, I hit the rest button while sitting in front of the town hall and guess what? My ranger proceeded to sleep.

So unless we're allowed to play bums and homeless people, I'd say this is a bug?

I don't object to characters being bums.

Don't expect to get a good night's sleep on the ground in front of the Town Hall anymore, though. ;)
