::( Flamerule 30th :: Year 151 :: 1373 DR )::
Sirs, Ma'ams,
Probationary Constable Mullingham of the CDL reporting in regards of renewed plague-sightings.
Since I am not yet an official member of the CDL, I can not access the message board in the barracks, and leave you this report by means of this letter.
What happened? A plague has seemingly spread again for a while in our city, once yesterday, and one time today.
First incident: After Executor Strife, Agent Lathain, Private Runehammer and another Private patrolled the pit in order to get rid of flying chosen, I went to the hall of the Seekers to get cured of my wounds. On my way there, I suddenly felt much worse than usual, and I noticed that my skin turned oily, almost-oozelike. I could not move my fingers skillfully anymore, neither could I move quickly. I have sought out a healer as soon as possible, but on my way to one, I noticed that many other citizens suffered the same symptoms. They were round up and cured by healers, and at the Hold in a prompt manner with help of Agent Lathain. After this incident, the infection seemingly was stopped. I was plague-struck right out of the blue, and I believe the flying chosen to have been the source, but this is just the opinion of a layman. This happened on the 29th of Flamerule, yesterday.
Second incident: After a patrol with Private Runehammer, I noticed some citizens with similar symptoms, just like the ooze-skin affliction I mentioned in the first incident. I made sure to separate them from the healthy citizens and have brought them all to the hold to be cured, spending 210 coins to pay for the cure for those citizens that didn't have the means to do so themselves. This happened this very day. The source of the plague has not been found, but one citizen mentioned having started to feel the symptoms after touching a beggar in Lower.
Dutifully, Probationary Constable Mullingham of the CDL
