Eugene:
I hope you are well.
Please be advised, I’ve been appointed administrator of what was known as the House of Light. It will be open and cleaned in the next several cycles and should re-open for public use by the end of this ride, if not sooner.
The name will be changing to reflect its independent status.
The house was founded as a place of rest and healing. I intend for this to continue and I welcome your help. Please share this news with the Society and with your priestly friends.
I intend for this institution to serve the people of Lower and the Canal. To that end, the house will have a charter by which it will operate. It is in everyone’s best interests to understand this charter. If you happen to be visiting and find there is need, please donate some of your time and read the charter to any who ask.
Good dark,
- Bern.

Bern!
Congratulations. It's good to see someone with the best intentions of Lower Sanctuary in mind managing a building with noble ambitions. Though things are sort of hectic during Campaign season, if you ever need anything, feel free to write and I'll do everything I can to help with the project.

Dear Eugene:
Thank you for your kind letter.
I understand campaigning must be taking up most of your waking hours - please remember the Beacon's main room is an open podium for everyone running.
Elections aside, you're always welcome and I'd particularly appreciate it if you could impart your knowledge of threats to Sanctuary to the folks here (adventurer and newcomer alike). I fail to understand how ignorance of thralldom or similiar threats will help us.
Also, I have a few things I'd like to speak with you about after the election.
Good dark,
- Bern.

Ordinant Castile:
I'm delighted to see interest from a member of the Society in this regard. Please direct your comrade to the correspondence we've already exchanged. My offer of the Beacon's main room stands.
If the correspondence has been misplaced, perhaps your comrade should speak with Ordinant Lathae.
Any violations of the Beacon's Charter will be promptly addressed. Any concerns about my administration of the Beacon should be forwarded to the Lower Council.
- Blackhaw
(P.S. I hope you are well and the boiled nightshade did its job.)

[received 17 Eleint, 151]V. Blackhaw,
I'd like permission to use one of the rooms in your "Beacon" for a series of seminars and discussions on the aberration threat, intended for the citizens of Lower Sanctuary who may be unable to attend our convocations in Upper Sanctuary. When you're done fluttering through your no doubt endless piles of letters, send a response to the Society of the Ordered Mind Chapterhouse if you agree, or if you do manage to escape the pressing burden of your crush of letters, have one of your associates give word in person.

a courier wearing the garb of a Government official returns a letter to the Beacon
Miss Bern.
Eugene has been out on a dangerous campaign within the Sandy Caverns, hunting down aberrations for the past week. When he returns, if he returns, we will forward any official response from him to you.
