Shane: Citizen, Servant, Councilor, Seeker

Flyers placed primarily in Upper, but also in Lower and the Canal Ward.

Citizen: Born an orphan in Lower Sanctuary, I have always called Sanctuary my home. I have toiled alongside you. I understand our hopes and dreams, our struggles and trials. I consider my single greatest attribute to be my concern and care for the people of this city, and I will continue to let that concern drive me.

Servant: I am a servant of Lathander, the god of morning, light, and renewal. I have a long history of service to Sanctuary, from delivering food and supplies to Lower during hard times, to standing against enemies who would invade our gates. In whatever role I have found myself, I have continued to serve the people of Sanctuary, and will continue to do so.

Councilor: I am a former Councilor. While in the council, I worked hard to listen to your concerns and bring them to the council's attention. I also worked with our defense organizations, including gathering testimony from former Sergeant Cail Durris which aided in the exposure of Walters' corruption, and is now helping to ensure that other corrupt men are not allowed to take his place. Additionally, as a councilor I supported the Seekers and am proud to have done so. They are the ones who gathered evidence against the Watch's corruption, it is they who acquired a purple crystal to provide free healing during the plague, they who destroyed Orog slavers and brought the freed men and women here safely, and they who stood alongside Lower's gate defenders, risking their lives, when others were content to simply raise the lift and trap the people there. I will continue to support them, the heroes of Sanctuary. As a councilor, I did not sit safely in my office, but aided our officers in bringing in dangerous criminals. I also understand how the council works, and will use that understanding to ensure that the council works quickly and effectively. I am confident in my past service as a Councilor, and I am confident that those I worked with would only speak well of me.

Seeker: I am a former Seeker, compelled by my conscience to step down from the position to run for Council. I have walked the Underdark, exposing our enemies and fighting them to keep us safe. I have raided slaver groups. I have used my own coin to purchase and free people from Illithid slavery. I will continue to support Seeker operations in freeing slaves, a task even more critical with the new evidence of slavery gained from Walters. I know that the Way to the surface exists and can be found, and can say from personal experience that the Seekers are the men and women who can lead us there.

More flyers are placed about Upper, Lower, and the Canal Ward. ((Done in game))

A new round of flyers go up.

Shane: The Issues

Lower: Like most running for council, I wish for Upper and Lower to begin working together, and have no intentions to remove Lower's independence. If we are to survive here, we must stand together. My biggest concern at the time is the defense of their gate. I hope to work with the Lower Council and Clan Cave Worm to come up with a way to better defend the people of Lower from our enemies- too many have suffered already. I also put my support behind the Beacon and its mission, and I plan to spend what time I can there, aiding in teaching, training, and caring for the people of Lower.

Slavery: Now, more than ever, we must fight against slavery. I will ensure that the information gained from former-sherrif Walters' files is pursued. We will track down these child slavers to their source, and they will face Sanctuary's justice.

The Surface: Born and raised in Sanctuary, I understand it's purpose. A safe haven, from which we can find a way to true freedom on the surface. The surface exists, and it will be found. There are those who fear exploration, and those who would keep you down here because they enjoy the power they have acquired here. In reality, more exploration will give us greater knowledge of our surroundings, more military advantages, more resources, and the way out that we long for.

The Seekers: I have always supported the Seekers, believing them to be Sanctuary's truest heroes, and I have been proven right. It was the Seekers who gathered the evidence against Walters, along with evidence I gathered while in the Council from Sergeant Cail Durris, which exposed his corruption and saved Sergeant Moonfall. It was the Seekers who destroyed an Orog slaving group, leaving no survivors, and returned their captives to Sanctuary as free men. It was the Seekers who acquired a purple crystal during the plague, and continue to provide free healing to all with it. And it was the Seekers who went to Lower’s gates to repulse the Orog invaders, while others raised the lift in fear. I am proud of my decision to support them, and I will continue to do so.

Public Input: The Council is here to serve you, Sanctuary. And so I promise that if elected, I will bring the issues to you. I will keep you informed of our actions, and will ask your input before I cast my vote.

An Active Council: In the past, we have all been frustrated by men on the Council who have sat idly. The Council is often bogged down by those who are hesitant to change or act. I am not one of these, and will act swiftly and decisively to protect our city. I urge you also to elect men and women you feel will be able to work well together, lest the Council be frozen by conflict within.

Please approach me with your concerns and questions. I'll try to make myself available either in the Seeker's Hall or the Beacon.

Vote wisely Sanctuary.

I look forward to a new dawn for Sanctuary. I ask you to join me.

More flyers are placed throughout Upper and Lower.

The time has come Sanctuary. Please, everyone vote, and put some careful thought into it.

I have spoken of what I plan for our future, and I believe my past speaks for me. Re-elected or not, I will continue to serve our town.

I look forward to our future: A future filled with action, positive changes, and hope for all of Sanctuary and our children.

Join me as we look forward to a new dawn for Sanctuary.
